How to improve your Math skills!

The world of Mathematics is all around us and it is so important for children to understand and practice the basic Mathematical concepts! The problem is that many children are lacking these basic skills and every year they fall further behind. The result: low marks and a poor self image. We need to use creative ways to get kids loving Math again!

I have started this blog to share tips and ideas with teachers and parents so that we can engage our children in the magical world of Mathematics!

Fun Math worksheets

The answer lies in fun and engaging Math lessons and worksheets. When we have fun doing something it doesn’t feel like work! This is so true in the Math classroom. We find more and more kids lack the basic Mathematical skills like Math facts and the normal drills don’t seem to be so effective anymore. In order to practice basic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, I create fun and engaging Math worksheets, riddles and games to help my students grow! My Creative Maths provide parents and teachers with fun Math resources to help children learn the basic Math skills, improve their marks and boost their self-confidence!

Math facts for success

You will agree with me that math facts and times tables are very important building blocks in any child’s mental make-up. You cannot do mathematics without it! Unfortunately more and more kids are lacking the ability to quickly do their times tables. My post How to teach times tables and have success covers this topic and it really works with both the left and right brainers! You can also get some Classroom Décor to brighten up your classroom as well as a reference that will help your kids when they are busy with classwork.

Math bundles

We are all very busy and as a teacher I enjoy no-prep resources that I can just print and use or print and laminate! That is why I have bundled a few resources together in my Multiplication and Division Bundle. You will give your kids the mental math agility they deserve and they will be more engaged! The 2D Shapes Bundle contains a lot of fun activities for the kids like worksheets, word search, riddles and coloring in. The cute 2D Shape posters and playing cards will definitely be a great addition to your classroom. In both bundles you will get a FREE worksheet!
